JessieRae “JR” Hatton

Born and raised in Georgia, JessieRae grew up spending the majority of her time outdoors. This Georgia peach had no trouble keeping up with the boys, as she grew up hunting, fishing, and camping. From a young age, she had an entrepreneurial spirit, drive, and ambition. She has spent most of her life in two male-dominated sports; Hunting since the age of 12, and Shorin-Ryu Shorinkan Karate since the age of 15.

At the age of 8, when most girls were collecting dolls, JR had a fascination with weapons and started collecting knives. JR created a hallway in her house for throwing knives, which also displays her knife collection, and added a golf-putting course. She started playing golf at a young age, which Nonnie introduced to her. She enjoys golf and fishing to pass the time in-between hunting and football season.

Being a huntress and outdoor enthusiast, JR does anything she can to persevere the environment and wildlife conservation, including rescuing baby squirrels, birds, rabbits, and opossums.

She has a “conquer list” (which most people call a bucket list), but she wants to remember what she accomplished while she is alive, not what is left on the list when she’s gone. She sets a goal to travel somewhere different in the world every year and collects street art of places she has been and monuments she has seen.

She graduated from Kennesaw State University with a BBA in International Business and a minor in Business Law.

Her favorite colors are camo and blue. Ask anyone who knows her, she has an addiction to tacos! Her two cats are named Optimus Prime, and Xena Warrior Princess. She rescued a turtle named Leonardo Michelangelo (after TMNT).  She loves hunting in her Jeep, named the “Black Widow.” JR is very close with her grandmother, who she calls “Nonnie,” and couldn’t have made her dreams of creating KwikFly Apparel come true without her.

Nonnie “Nonnie Sue”

Suzy Gulick was born in Sharon, Pennsylvania 93 years ago. Her passions include dancing, fishing, playing cards, cooking, golfing, traveling, painting, crocheting, & sewing. She is the sweetest woman you will ever meet, but don’t let that fool you if you’re playing her in a game of cards.

During 2019-2023 she crocheted & donated over 450 baby animal nests to Wildlife Rescue Shelters in Florida, North Carolina, and Georgia.

During 2022-2024, she generously hand-crocheted 900 beanie hats for preemie babies & donated them to the Wisconsin Ascension Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital.

Nonnie Sue enjoys crocheting hats, gloves, scarves, baby blankets, and dog coats while watching TV Westerns; her favorite shows are Gunsmoke and The Young Riders.

She is a pioneer who paved the way for females to begin playing Golf in a male-dominated sport. She was associated with starting the Wilderness Women’s Golf Club in Naples, Florida, and was a champion in many all-women’s golf tournaments.

Nonnie Sue has always been incredibly talented with a true gift of being able to craft anything. She has extensive knowledge of handling a sewing machine. She has made boat covers, reupholster furniture, golf bags, Christmas stockings, and even her own clothes and gowns.  Because of her talent on a sewing machine, her granddaughter presented her with a challenge and crazy idea, which of course she immediately supported and the two went to work. Eight pant prototypes later, after trial and error, blood, sweat, frustration, and countless curse words she became the co-founder of KwikFly Apparel.

Anyone who has had the pleasure of being graced with her presence is truly a gift that will be cherished forever. She has always had a close relationship with her granddaughter JessieRae, who says, “I am very fortunate and lucky to have her part of my life, she is an amazing woman, an inspiration to many people, and my hero.”
